What is the Fellowship team?
We look at the word fellowship and it comes from the Greek word Koinonia (κοινωνία) which means communion, joint participation; the share which one has in anything, participation, a gift jointly contributed, a collection, a contribution, etc. It identifies the idealized state of fellowship and unity that should exist within the Christian church, the Body of Christ.
That being said, our team is also called “Team Fun,” because we get to focus on the fun gatherings at Holy Cross – the Oktoberfest, Mardi Gras, Picnic and the closing program of VBS. Our group is also assigned other gathering activities as they arise, including the anniversary of the church, and the ordination or installation of a pastor.
We also make sure there is coffee and danish after the 9 o’clock Sunday service!
Our meetings are spread throughout the year, depending on what events we are currently working on.
